At Carrickfergus Academy, we are committed to excellence within a caring and supportive environment where our young people can develop the skills and confidence needed throughout their lives. We place great importance on offering personalised advice and support on higher education and career options to ensure students leave us with the skills and qualifications to succeed in their chosen pathway.

At Post-16, we offer a wide range of courses which allow for diverse subject combinations which are designed to meet the needs, talents and interests of all our students. Sixth Form at Carrickfergus Academy is a stimulating experience, with enrichment opportunities in the extracurricular area of school life, opportunities to travel abroad and to participate in leadership across the school community. Most importantly, you will find yourself part of a community, with access to specialist Sixth Form facilities including dedicated supervised  study areas and social spaces.

On an annual basis, we hold a Sixth Form Open Afternoon for Year 12 students  after February half -term, when information on Sixth Form life and Subject Options will be available. Prospective new pupils who do not currently attend Carrickfergus Academy and who wish to consider applying to us for Sixth Form, are welcome to attend.​
